an OK signal to dream again,
of Rowland Office and his long gone ilk.

Rowland Office! I remember him! Very very skinny outfielder for the Atlanta Braves. And what kind of last name IS that, anyway, I always wondered. OFFICE? What, are his his brothers named Post, Main, and Local?

Glen, so many memorable names. I have no idea why Rowland Office popped up while i was looking at a naked tree, but names, baseball names especially, why do they get us so coco puffs crazy and excited? Who knows? I’m just glad they do.

For one moment I thought you had conflated ‘Rowland Hill’ and ‘Post Office’.

In that neo-Bermanism corner of my mind, I always refer to him as Rowland “The Headless Thompson Gunner” Office.
